charming stay near parks and vibrant attractions
I loved being just a quick walk from both Volunteer Park and the Seattle Asian Art Museum, and the welcoming atmosphere made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. I'd suggest this place to fellow weekend travelers who appreciate beautiful surroundings and also enjoy a delightful breakfast with fresh fruit and baked goods, though street noise can occasionally be heard.

Lovely stay with fab breakfast
Had a fantastic first night during our road trip! The owner was super friendly, and our suite was huge with nice touches everywhere. Breakfast was a highlight—Daryl's muffins were to die for! Only thing was, the location can get a bit noisy at times, but the gardens are so pretty. Highly recommend!

The suite we stayed in was stunning, and we ended up canceling plans just to enjoy it longer. Darryl made the best muffins ever! Relaxing on the terrace with a good book and soaking in the cozy atmosphere made our stay really special. The only thing was the Wi-Fi could be a bit slow, but it just gave us more reason to unplug and enjoy the moment. Highly recommend trying the muffins! 🥯

missingWrote a review on Sept 09shared bathroom
The shared bathroom in the upper room felt a bit cramped at times, particularly when the other room was occupied, which may not be ideal for everyone. Additionally, while the house is located in a peaceful area, it does sit under the flight path for SEATAC, meaning the occasional airplane noise could interrupt the otherwise serene atmosphere.

Staying in the Carriage House was delightful! We had a lovely time at the nearby Sculpture Park, soaking in art and scenery. Darryl was so attentive, making our stay memorable. The grand piano in the main house added a charming touch to our evenings with friends.
In my wife’s opinion, a child-friendly space near the garden would be excellent.

The Bacon Mansion is a charming spot with lovely decor and a fantastic breakfast of homemade muffins and fresh fruit. However, the carriage house felt a bit exposed and lacked proper housekeeping during my stay, which detracted from the experience. Overall, a nice place worth revisiting despite a few hiccups.

Families looking for a warm welcome
My kids loved the spacious suite, it felt like home and more with comfy King and Queen beds, we really enjoyed the cozy fireplace too. Breakfast was a highlight, Daryl's fresh-baked muffins were out of this world, and it really set the tone for our days.
It wasn't exactly cheap but worth the experience.
